Goodbye 2015 Hello 2016!

goodbye 2015 hello 2016

I can’t believe that tomorrow 2015 will come to an end and a whole new year is going to start!
It still feels like yesterday that I was in Australia, which is almost a year ago!

Between being back home and leaving for Canada I have been pretty busy with life and other travels. I wrote down where I had been and seen and oh my, it is a lot! Maybe a little bit too much! Haha. But then again, is there anyway of traveling too much?! I don’t think so!

Goodbye 2015 Hello 2016!

Australia

January would have been my last month in Australia after being there for a year. Ones I spend NYE in Sydney I flew to Melbourne to meet up with my friend Jacky in Geelong to do the Great Ocean Road. After that I spend a couple more days in Melbourne before flying back to Sydney and then back home.

I also flew to Tasmania with Lena to do a little road trip. Discovering everything between Hobart, Launceston and Port Arthur.

On February the third I arrived back home. I was happy to see everyone, sleeping in my own bed, finally eating decent food but I was sad that my Australia adventure was over for now. Because I was broke I didn’t go anywhere and I was back at work at Silverspoon. In June I switched jobs and went to work in Antwerp at Backyard.

In April our family surprised our mom with a Birthday weekend getaway, we went to Bokrijk in Genk.

England

In March I met up with friends in London and Bristol and had the amazing time. I already felt the urge to travel again!

After asking my cousin, Eriënne, if she wanted to go to Disneyland with me she replied that she would prefer to go to England with me so in October I went back to London! A week later I went to Bristol to visit Saskia in her new room. In the meantime I also went to beautiful Bath. October was a crazy month!

Because I am Dutch and have family living there I visited the Netherlands a couple of times of course. Between February and October I have been to Tilburg (Efteling), Haarlem, Amsterdam, Veere and Bergen op Zoom. Besides visiting family I also met up with friends over there.

Portugal

We started to go to Portugal since I was 5 years old so in July the whole family went on a vacation. This had been a while.
In the meantime I went to Quinta Do Lago, Faro, Lagos, Albufeira, Portimao and many more.

In September I went back to Portugal with my mom for a couple of days but this time we went to Lisbon and Sintra.

Iceland

On October 25th it was time to make my way to Canada but before that I flew to Iceland where I spend 7 days exploring the country. I did two tours; the Golden Circle and the South Coast. I also went to the Blue Lagoon, Reykjavik and tried to see the Northern lights, which was a fail.

After Iceland I flew to Seattle where my friend Warren picked me up and drove to Bellingham where he and his brother live. Besides exploring Bellingham I also went to Seattle.

After a week in Vancouver I went back to my friends and celebrated Thanksgiving before going back to Vancouver for one day so I could fly out from Vancouver to Maui!
Here I spend 10 days on this beautiful island.

I went back to the states after one week in Vancouver because of Thanksgiving.
After Hawaii I started my house sitting job in West Vancouver, where I am now. So I will be spending New Years Eve in Vancouver!

This means I went to 11 countries and a whole lot of cities in just one small year!

What will 2016 bring me?
I will be spending New Years Eve in Vancouver but other than that I have no plans. It will also depend if I find work soon or not. Anyone can help me with that?!

At the end of January I have a little project going online, which I tell you all about it when it’s done.

What are your plans for 2016?
